About Movement Law Lab
Movement Law Lab brings the power of lawyers to social justice movements. We transform the legal sector, training lawyers and legal organizations to go beyond winning cases to building collective power. We build legal infrastructure for grassroots-led social movements. We reimagine law, cultivating new ways to democratize, decolonize and deploy law. Together with people’s movements, we organize lawyers into a force for human dignity, multi-racial democracy, and ecological harmony.

Getting Ready for the Workshop
What to Bring: Please bring a notebook that you can use during the course to jot down notes and journal. And most importantly, be curious and have an open mind!
Arrive on Time: Please join the Zoom meeting at least 5 minutes before the session start time so that we can begin the workshop with everyone present.
Accessibility Needs: Please feel free to take care of yourself during our meeting time. Closed captions are available during the meeting via Zoom. Unfortunately, closed captioning is not available in the Zoom breakout rooms.
Camera Etiquette: We invite participants to turn on their cameras, as it is a preferred way for trainers to engage with them. However, if you do not feel comfortable, please feel free to keep it off. If you choose to keep your camera on and need to take a break, please be sure to mute yourself and turn your camera off before getting up.
Troubleshooting Zoom issues: It happens! To make things easier for you, please take a look at a quick guide on what to do to test your tech tools being used for the workshop.
